Things should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler. ~Albert Einstein

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy my little blog. My name is Eddie and I work with the Church of Christ, Malaga in Perth, Australia. I’m an American who has been living here for the past two and a half years. Just me and my little family; my beautiful wife, Melaine, our baby girl Matilda, our cat, Oz, and our two chickens, Bea and Millie. How is it that we can live a ’simple’ life that is so busy and often insane???  I’m not really sure, but it’s a fun ride with my Christ and my life partner!
Eddie and MelaineLike my life, this blog will be a combination of many things. Much of the focus will be on spiritual things as we explore together the simplicity of Christ. Sometimes we’ll talk about my life here as an American living ‘down under’! It is a fascinating country, full of beautiful people and stunning countryside. Unfortunately for you, dear reader, this blog will also be a glimpse into the terribly random meanderings of my mind. I hope you will endure these segments with patience and good humor!

Subscribing is the best way to be sure that you keep up with all that’s happening here at the Simple Life in Christ. If you are a faithful reader of my previous blog, I hope you enjoy the new surroundings and content! If you are new to my blog, welcome, and please, stay awhile!

Hey buddy, I hear and see you are doing a lot of hard work. Keep up the great work!! I have been working in Berlin, Germany for the past, well almost two years, and plan to stay for a few more. I saw your comments in the “FC 90 chat room” and thought I would drop you a line. I too am a stalker that just likes to listen without adding too many comments. Since I have been here I have been keeping up with Havaard, if you remember the short Norweigen, he has got 5 kids!! But doing well! Hope to talk to you soon. Grusse aus Berlin, Brian

Hey Eddie - it is awesome to come across your site - the freaky thing is that my sister has just moved to your lovely city of Perth - she is from NZ.

Hi Eddie. Last time we saw you I think Chris and I had just had Anna. I’ve got a photo of you holding her in an album somewhere. I think you were going to become a chiropractor, then you dropped off the radar. Austrailia… wow. Chris and I worked as youth pastors for a church in Pittsburg, then in Virginia. Now he’s director of a youth group for a tiny parish of three churches near Biglerville and I teach math at Carlisle High School. Your family is beautiful. I’m glad you found what you were looking for.
